$350 is too much for an x850 xt pe. I would seriously look for a better deal.

ATI Store had a sale on refurbished x800 xt pe cards with three year warranties for $229. My cost was $233.16 once I applied the 5% discount and the shipping cost. The x800 xt pe is only MHz slower than the x850 xt pe.

X850 XT 256MB AGP Video Card for 350 dollars from a GREAT SITE!!!
Im thinking of getting it???
Oh yea and i need to buy new power supply on the same site i found Thermatalke TR2 W0070RUC 430W Dual Fan Power Supply would that work with the card?
Thanks It's more or less the best ATI has right now, you don't want nVidia and the price is decent, for that card, so sure, it's good.
And yeah, that PSU should be fine.

Back to the x850xt, I love it, runs everything REALLY well to say the least.
Makes doom run like a hot knife through butter, hl2 is great, and so is bf2.
Its nice to be able to max settings, drives me nuts when I can't.
I would seriously look for a better deal.
The x800 xt pe is only 20 MHz slower than the x850 xt pe.
The card I received looked like it was brand new and a three year warranty is better than the standard one year for a retail boxed card.
Here is a link to the ATI Store for reference.
The new 5% off coupon code is 1439.
It has Shader Model 3.

I don't think the X850 will be 40% than the XL, so you're paying a premium.
Admittedly, the 7800s are PCIe and you're looking for AGP, but I still think it's a valid comparison in terms of performance.
Dunno about Thermaltake PSUs.
The Tt's push-pull dual 80mm fans and minimal vents looks to be a good airflow design--better than the Antec TP330's perpendicular fans, in any case.
I found the TP330 didn't evacuate hot air from my case very well, as it had too many vents and the more powerful 92mm fan likely pushed the hot air from the CPU back into the case via those vents faster than the 80mm fan could expel it.
The TP330 raised my case and CPU temps by a few degrees over my single-fan SmartPower 300.
What PSU do you currently have?
You sure you need a new one?
I've been lurking for months and you have never shut up about SM 3.
If you tried to run a game with 3.
SM3 is just a word right now, it should have no bearing on whether or not you buy a ATI card or Nvidia card.
YOu need to stop preaching stupid biased retarded information.
That said, the X850XT is a wonderful card, but don'T pay more than 300 for it.
ZZF has sapphire X850XT's for 300 bucks shipped right now.
If you are paying 350 for it, you may as well pay 40 more to get the 7800GT.
X800XL's are at tigerdirect new for 230 plus shipping.
Basically there is no reason to buy an Nvidia card over an ATI card from the 200-300 range.
Nvidia completely dominates the high end though.
The 6800GT is Клавиатура 9J.N8682.E0R one hell of a card though, but with X850XT's costing 10 dollars more, it is outclassed.

I'm an ATI fan and I think they REALLY need SM 3.
R520 People have been saying it makes NO difference, some people say it's a huge difference.
If you look it up STRAIGHT from the make itself, you'll see SM 3.
Numbers as big as 96 SM 2.
Other features listed in the link provide shader anti-aliasing, only available in SM 3.
I think SM 3.
The NEXT generation, yes, this past generation doesnt matter, at all.
Would you choose a 6800GT over a X850XT because of SM 3 support if they cost within https://kolopoka.ru/asus/klaviatura-dlya-noutbuka-asus-0knb0-6127ru00-russkaya-chernaya-bez-ramki-ploskiy-enter.html bucks of each other?
If you do, fine, your money, but there is no reason to.
Hans preaches as if SM3.
Almost every post he has https://kolopoka.ru/asus/tyaga-rulevaya-ctr-crt118.html in this forum is regarding SM3 and telling people to not buy ATI because of it.
I own a G256,Gf3, Gf 6800GT and have considered buying a GTX, i also own a 9700pro and X850XT.
I have NO bias between companies like many on here.
It will be awhile before SM3 is in full force.
Buy for todays needs.
That said, for 300 bucks the X850XT is the best card.
For 400 the 7800GT is 500, GTX.

WTF are you flaming Hans!!!!
He was responding to my "joke" about SM 3.
The card is great.
I have the PE and I run everything on max.
The https://kolopoka.ru/asus/provod-sip-3-1h95-20kv-m-energokomplekt.html never cease to amaze me.
You will be happy with the card.
However, I think I may have spent too much on it ~360 although I did get it about a month ago.
I'd probably get something lower in the ATI line instead such as the X800XL or X800XT or go for the Nvidia 6800GT.
Моноблок 23 ASUS AiO are all great cards as well that will do 80-95% of what a X850XT PE can do.
